Another Mass Shooting – Another Sermon on Gun Control

On Monday a shooting in Boulder Colorado left 10 people dead, including one police officer. The alleged shooter was a 21-year-old named Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa. According to his brother, Ahmad was mentally ill.

We don’t know what kind of weapon he used in the shooting but we do know that Democrats wouldn’t be Democrats if they didn’t use these senseless tragedies to further their own causes. If there’s one thing they know how to do, it’s to take advantage of us when we’re already down and to manipulate a tragedy into a PC (politically correct) narrative.

We should not be surprised, then, that Joe Biden has already started talking about issuing executive orders related to gun sales and use.

Jen Psaki, White House press secretary, spoke with reporters on Tuesday. She informed them that the current administration is considering a range of potential actions.

“There remain a range of options under consideration. And obviously, tragedies like last night and the shootings in Atlanta are just reminders of how vital it is to move forward on gun safety measures in a range of formats. But I don’t have an update on when those executive actions or what steps might be next at this point,” Psaki said.

Biden has already far surpassed the number of executive actions used to buy any other president in American history. He is, as many believe, ruling more in dictatorial fashion then most of us had expected. So, I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that he plans to add more orders to the lineup.

There’s nothing like being ordered around by your president.

I believe in background checks and other sensible requirements for gun purchasers. Of course, I also believe in showing your ID when you go to vote. I would think one would be as important as the other, wouldn’t you?

I just can’t stand the way the Democrats always seem to take advantage of these horrific situations to promote an agenda. And I still don’t understand why they think that limiting/punishing responsible gun owners will somehow take guns out of the hands of the bad guys. That would be like saying the bullies on the elementary school playground will stop bullying if you punish the innocent kids. It just doesn’t make sense.

Then again, the Dems have never hyper-focused on making sense, have they? No, they’ve been way too busy mandating and censoring us. Maybe the sensible stuff will come later.

The NRA (National Rifle Association) issued a statement late Tuesday in which they expressed condolences over the shooting. They also accused gun control advocates of having “already rushed to politicize this horrific situation—even as most of the salient facts remain unknown.”

I’ve never actually known liberals to focus much on facts, have you? They’re far too busy appealing to the emotions of their base for all of that. And boy, are emotions running high after a tragedy. Those Democrats have to strike while the iron is hot.

And right now? It’s sizzling hot.

  1. if they ‘get what they are saying is best for their constituents’, then THEIR ARMED DETAILS and personal arsenals (should they have one) MUST be the first to be ‘disarmed’. My prayer is that this will NEVER see the light of day. BUT, THEY should be the first to give up their weaponry, mercenary and otherwise.
