Impeachment 2.0: The Politically Correct Version

Whelp, here we go again.

I don’t know how you say it where you come from, but down here in East Texas we call it “overplaying your hand.” That’s what Democrats are doing in D.C. as they seek to impeach President Trump bring blissful peace and unity to the nation by moving forward with style and grace. Because that’s sure to bring folks together, to destroy deliver the man who gave such a normal inciteful, violence-inducing speech to the gallows, along with 74,000,000 of his closest friends.

Peter Navarro, a strong Trump ally who advises the president on trade issues, had this to say about the current impeachment attempt: They always overplay their hand. This is going to bite them you know where.”

I agree, Peter. It’s too much, too late. And it’s most assuredly not going to help anything. If anything, it will further widen the gap between the Right and the Left, the very opposite of what we need in this country right now.

Honestly? This is about the dumbest savviest move I’ve seen yet. Do they really think that half of America is going to be onboard with riding out of town on a rail impeaching the man who encouraged incited his followers to violence with the completely normal terrifying, inciteful words: “peacefully and patriotically make your voices be heard.”

I’m not trying to make light of what happened on January 6th at the U.S. Capitol. I think it’s awful, all of it. The instigators and bad actors from both sides of the aisle need to be fully investigated and prosecuted.

But I don’t see any proof that Trump (or Cruz or Hawley, who’ve also been accused of instigating the riot) did anything other than try to point out what millions of us already believed, that the 2020 Presidential election process was riddled with irregularities. If speaking your truth is a crime then we’re going to need bigger jail cells to hold all of us. Because I, for one, will go right on speaking my truth, even if it doesn’t line up with the political narrative of the day Democrat-speak.

According to Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, the Dems have little chance of successfully impeaching and removing President Trump before Inauguration Day on Jan. 20.

“The case cannot come to trial in the Senate. Because the Senate has rules, and the rules would not allow the case to come to trial until, according to the majority leader, until 1 p.m. on January 20th, an hour after President Trump leaves office,” Dershowitz said in a Fox Business interview on Sunday. Dershowitz also suggested that the Constitution doesn’t make provision for impeaching a former president. “And the Constitution specifically says, ‘The President shall be removed from office upon impeachment.’ It doesn’t say the former president. Congress has no power to impeach or try a private citizen, whether it be a private citizen named Donald Trump or named Barack Obama or anyone else.”

This won’t stop the Democrats from trying. Because, you know. . .power unity.

Because destroying the president isn’t enough (since when is ruining one man enough?) they’ve decided to take out any and all conservatives who dared question the electoral vote. Just today the following companies vowed to cease donations to the likes of Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz: Morgan Stanley, Marriott, Dow, AT&T, Hallmark, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Boston Scientific, Commerce Bancshares, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, and Facebook.

Because, you know. . .political bias conservatives are evil and deserve to be punished.

By now you’ve probably noticed that Big Tech is getting in on the fun, censoring conservatives protecting Americans on social media platforms. They know what’s best, of course, and we must comply. Or else they’ll come for us, too. Already, key Democrats have suggested gulag-style reprogramming for Trump supporters once all of this is behind us.

That sounds like fun.

We will look back on January 6th, 2021 as a day that forever changed America. I’m sickened over the loss of life and destruction at the U.S. Capitol and I condemn it with everything inside of me. But I also condemn the hypocrisy complete fairness I see coming from the Left as they swing hard to take us all out.

Because, you know. . .politics.
