Racism Double Standards

Have you ever seen anyone denounce White Supremacy as many times as Trump had to? It reached a sickening point, at least to my way of thinking. According to the Mainstream Media and Big Tech, Trump was an absolute racist. They repeated the accusation over. . .and over. . .and over.

So, he kept denouncing it over. . .and over. . .and over.

Now, of course, there’s a new man in the White House. The Left has simmered down on this issue. But, should they?

Liberals were hoping their incoming candidate, Joe Biden, would prove once and for all that with a true non-racist in the White House we would all come together in perfect unity.

Here’s the latest move from President Biden that has folks on both sides of the aisle raising their eyebrows in mock surprise.

Personally, I don’t have a problem with travel bans. I didn’t have a problem with them when Trump set them in place early on in the COVID crisis and I don’t have any issue with them now. I think it’s a safety feature that should be in place to keep COVID from spreading any faster than it already is.

But, let’s get real: The response from Biden is hypocritical. Not what he’s saying now, mind you, but what he was saying back then, when he bashed President Trump for placing his travel bans in place.

Give that post a closer look. Biden’s comments were made on February 1st, 2020. Remember when folks on The Left accused Trump of doing nothing to prevent COVID from spreading? February 1st was long before the lockdowns, long before masks were mandatory, long before most of us were even paying attention to Coronavirus. Way back then, Trump started placing travel bans.

Which, of course, made him an avowed racist.

Only, now Biden isn’t a racist for placing a travel ban. He’s just protecting the country. He cares about us. He’s a good, good man. And Trump? He’s a bad, bad man.

We’re supposed to swallow the narrative that Trump did nothing to protect us. Other than place immediate bans. . .and all of the other things he did in the months that followed, like calling for wide-spread testing, more effective meds, the development of a vaccine, and stimulus checks for American citizens.

But we’re not supposed to mention any of those, I guess.

Oh, and things get stranger: Dr. Fauci (never a Trump enthusiast) is now praising Trump for his early travel bans:

“One of the things we did right was very early cut off travel from China to the United States. Because outside of China, where it originated, the countries in the world that have it are through travel, either directly from China or indirectly from someone who went someplace and then came to that particular country. Our shutting off travel from China and, more recently, travel from Europe, has gone a long way to not seeding very, very intensively the virus in our country.” (Dr. Fauci, Interview with MSNBC)

It’s hard to keep up with all of this, isn’t it? Just about the time I think I’ve figured out The Left’s interpretation of right or wrong, the script flips.

So. . .you’ve got me. I just know one thing: there’s a new travel ban. And it’s happening at the same time that multiple states are miraculously starting to open back up and the WHO (World Health Organization) admits that their testing process was hyper-sensitive, resulting in more positive results than it should have.

But I don’t suppose we’re supposed to mention any of those things, either.
