Stop the So-Called “Equality” Act! – PART ONE

Biden is all for it. Over half of the House is supporting it, and it appears to have significant backing in the Senate, as well. What are we talking about? The new “equality” act, which is set to be voted on in the House ASAP.

I’m here to ask you to help me stop it before we pass a point of no return. This so-called “equality” act is anything but. “Non-discrimination” legislation sounds great on the surface, but when you pick it apart it becomes apparent we’re being force-fed a new way of thinking, a new lingo, and possible prosecution for those who refuse to go along with what will soon become law, if we don’t act immediately. The bill poses a serious threat to our free speech and our religious freedom. (Anything The Left can do to erode our freedoms and force us into “group-think,” they’re happy to do.)

The following quote from Alliance Defending Freedom General Counsel Kristen Waggoner summarizes the situation better than I ever could:

“Our nation’s laws should respect the constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of every American citizen. All of us—regardless of sex or any other classification—deserve better than the profound inequality that the conscience-crushing, deceptively titled “Equality Act” reintroduced by Congress today promises. This proposed legislation punishes and marginalizes people who hold decent and honorable beliefs about marriage or dare to believe the scientific evidence regarding the physical differences between men and women. The Equality Act would deny female athletes fair competition in sports, ignore women’s unique health needs, and force vulnerable girls to share intimate spaces with men who identify as female.

“Many in our nation respectfully disagree on important matters such as marriage and human sexuality. Unfortunately, the Equality Act criminalizes these fundamental beliefs held by major faith groups since the dawn of time and, instead, demands absolute uniformity of thought. The freedom to live peaceably according to our beliefs is a fundamental right, resting in our human dignity and codified by the First Amendment. The Equality Act dares to treat reasonable people as hostile to the state and unfit to participate in the marketplace. Our nation can and must do better.” (

Why should we care? Because H.R. 5 would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to a protected category. Anything you say or do that doesn’t fall in line with the new law would make you vulnerable to prosecution. As quoted above, you would be considered, “hostile to the state.” For your personal beliefs.

Let me say that again: You would be considered hostile to the state for your deeply held convictions.

Sounding like a communist country yet? I’d say we’re making rapid advances in that direction. I for one am done. I’m done with Democrats having this much power over me—what I think, what I can and can’t say, and what I believe. I want them out of my church, out of my beliefs, and out of my personal convictions.

If you feel the same, join me for PART TWO, where I’ll break down the ramifications of this over-arching bill and offer advice on how to counter it.
