The President of Mexico is Fed up with Biden

Mexico’s president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, is in a huff at our new president. . .and who can blame him?

According to Reuters, he’s upset at Biden’s open-door immigration policy because it’s wreaking havoc on his country. Migrants are coming from southern countries—Honduras, Guatemala, and so on—and they’re bringing their drug cartels with them.

They’re barreling through Mexico, creating chaos as they go. And they’re headed to our southern borders, where Biden plans to not only let them through, but wants to offer them all sorts of free goodies for their trouble.

So, Obrador has had enough.

He and others in his government are worried about the Biden administration’s asylum policies, which are increasing illegal immigration and they’re also feeding the Mexican organized crime cartels with a higher income from human smuggling, torturing victims, and stealing their money.

They are also worried about the fallout for U.S. citizens once these migrants cross our borders into our southern states.

(Hint: You know you’re in trouble when the president of Mexico cares more about the welfare of U.S. citizens than your own president does.)

Mexico might not be happy but migrants are ecstatic. Many are headed to our southern borders wearing “Biden, Please Let Us In” t-shirts. (Gee, I wonder where they got those?)

Reuters reports:

Mexico’s government is worried the new U.S. administration’s asylum policies are stoking illegal immigration and creating business for organized crime, according to officials and internal assessments seen by Reuters.

Ever since President Joe Biden won the White House vowing to undo the hardline approach of his predecessor Donald Trump, Mexico has both looked forward to an end to migration burdens imposed by Trump, and braced for a new influx of people.

Detentions on the U.S border have surged since Biden took office on Jan. 20. Mexico has urged Washington to help stem the flow by providing development aid to Central America, from where most migrants come, driven by a humanitarian crisis…

…Previously unreported details in the internal assessments, based on testimonies and intelligence gathering, state that gangs are diversifying methods of smuggling and winning clients as they eye U.S. measures that will “incentivize migration.”

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador had this to say about the problem:

“They see him as the migrant president, and so many feel they’re going to reach the United States. We need to work together to regulate the flow because this business can’t be tackled from one day to the next.”

I never thought I’d live to see the day when Mexico had a better handle on immigration than the U.S., but here we are, folks. And, I suspect, this situation is only going to get more frightening in the coming weeks and months. So, hang on for the ride. Like everything with the Biden administration, the shaking has only just begun.
