President Trump will be in attendance as Amy Coney Barrett is sworn in by Justice Clarence Thomas to become the 115th justice of the Supreme Court.
Her nomination followed the death of liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and was met with resistance from Democrats, who objected to a nomination so close to the presidential election.
Barrett, an appeals court judge, was confirmed by the Senate on Monday evening in a 52-48 vote, with Sen. Susan Collins of Maine being the sole Republican to vote against her. The swearing-in ceremony is set to begin at 9 p.m. EDT.
